He was shockingly dismissed as manager of Nottingham Forest in December, after inspiring his side's comeback against Leeds to win 4-2 and put Forest on the cusp of a play-off spot in the Championship.** It was a decision that bewildered many, and Forest's loss could be Wolves' gain. He has however been tipped to become the next Barsley manager.***
