3. There Are Better Teams
Simply put, there are better teams than England set to contest next summer's World Cup. Aside from tournament favourites Brazil, whom we shall get too shortly, the likes of usual suspects Spain, Germany, Argentina and France are in better shape than the Three Lions. Then there's some of the darker horses - Uruguay, Italy, Portugal and Belgium, all of whom can be said to have better squads, particularly the latter. Belgium boss Marc Wilmots has the likes of Simon Mignolet, Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen, Vincent Kompany, Nacer Chadli, Kevin De Bruyne, Mousa Dembélé, Marouane Fellaini, Eden Hazard, Christian Benteke and Romelu Lukaku at his disposal, all players who can influence a match. The Belgians are perhaps one of the single-most underrated sides contesting the World Cup next summer but can cause any team damage. As always, the Three Lions are simply going to be outshone at yet another tournament.
