World Cup 2014: 5 Southampton Players Who Could Represent England

1. Nathaniel Clyne

There was a time not so long ago when Nathaniel Clyne was considered one of best young England full-backs. I remembering being surprised when he signed for Southampton from Crystal Palace that a bigger club didn€™t go in for him. It€™s taken him a little bit of time to adjust to the Premier League, but it appears that he has finally made it. Clyne made over 100 appearances for Palace and he beginning to clock up the miles in a Southampton shirt now, an average rating of 7.03 certainly shows that he has the talent to perform at a consistent level. The player has also provided two assists, and has been Southampton€™s second most consistent English player behind Lallana this season. Again, it€™s unlikely that he will go to the World Cup with England since he has hardly been mentioned as a possibility, but he is another example of a Southampton player excelling at the moment. At 22, he could certainly play for England for a number of years. So, you€™ve seen my list €“ which of these players will end up going to the World Cup?
