World Cup 2018: 10 Most Dramatic Moments From The Group Stage
6. Rojo's Super Strike
One of the most important goals of the World Cup so far was scored by one of the unlikeliest of players. Argentina had Messi, Higuaín, and Agüero on the pitch in the dying minutes of their must-win game with Nigeria, but it was Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo who found himself in the perfect position to smash home a cross past Nigeria's young keeper Francis Uzoho.
It was a fine goal and so important for Argentina, who were desperately battling for the win they needed to qualify from Group D and keep their World Cup dream alive. The joyful celebrations for the strike did it justice and it could prove to be even more important if Argentina can push on and get further in the competition.
Funnily enough, Rojo also scored a winner against Nigeria at the 2014 World Cup too. He's only ever scored three goals for Argentina, but they've all been crucial, with his other strike opening the scoring in his nation's 2015 Copa America semi-final with Paraguay. Clearly, Rojo really turns up in big games.
