World Cup 2018: 7 Players Premier League Clubs Should Buy

1. Juan Fernando Quintero (Colombia)

Juan Fernando Quintero scored a goal back at the 2014 World Cup, but his exploits were largely overshadowed by fellow countryman James Rodriguez, who scored six goals on his way to the Golden Boot award. This summer, however, Quintero has really stepped into the spotlight and proven himself as one of Colombia's hottest prospects.

The 25-year-old has had a bit of a strange club career, never really settling anywhere. He's contracted to Porto but has failed to break into the first eleven there, being loaned out on multiple occasions. At French side Rennes just a couple of years ago, Quintero only made 12 league appearances and was criticised for being overweight and lazy in training. At that time, it looked like his career was going off the rails, especially when he started appearing in music videos and seemingly losing his interest in the sport.

Fortunately, a move back to South America helped Quintero get back on track and he could bring a lot to plenty of Premier League sides, with his smart set pieces and astute passing ability key to breaking the locks of the toughest defences. Spurs have been linked with Quintero, and newly-promoted Wolves have also shown interest in adding the Colombian to their ranks.
