World Football's 12 Most Famous Insults

7. Roy Keane On Alf Inge Haaland

After Keane suffered a season-ending knee injury in a clash with Haaland in September 1997, the Irishman got his revenge a year later in committing one of the most vulgar challenges in Premier League history.

The challenge was so strong it sent Haaland into an early retirement and Keane stated: €œI€™d waited long enough. I f***ing hit him hard. The ball was there. Take that you total c***€

No arguments here, Roy. But understandably the authorities came down hard on the former midfield enforcer.
