Yohan Cabaye To Win Newcastle Fans Back With Good Performances

Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye has revealed he will win over the supporters with his performances on the pitch, following a difficult period in which it had appeared he was going to leave the North-East side while the summer transfer window was open. Arsenal made a failed £10 million bid for the 26-year old on the eve of Newcastle's opening game against Manchester City in August. Cabaye was subsequently told to return home after 'having his head turned', and he looked nailed on to be exiting the Magpies. However, Arsenal didn't make an improved bid for the deep-lying playmaker, and he's remained at Newcastle. Cabaye understands the fans will take their time before they are once again cheering his name, but he will let his football win them over this season.
'I want to forget what happened during the summer. I want to put it behind me and give everything for Newcastle every day, for the Club and for my teammates. It is important I do that because Newcastle is my club and it is a good thing to be here.'
Yohan Cabaye recently started in the 2-1 victory against Aston Villa, and manager Alan Pardew was said to be impressed upon his return. source - telegraph
