Abeid looked like a bit of a lost soul at Bootham Crescent, and it would be no surprise to see him depart St James' Park in the coming weeks. Being asked to play defensive-midfield alongside Yoan Gouffran cannot be easy, admittedly, but Abeid should still have been able to control the game better against League Two opposition. Although in possession he looked reasonably calm and collected, Abeid was like a headless chicken whenever York City had the ball and he committed a host of fouls. Far from a convincing performance.
