10 Best Rick And Morty Characters Who Only Appeared In One Episode

1. Unity

Rick and Morty Jaguar
Adult Swim

With the exception of Morty, Beth, very occasionally Summer, and a handful of close friends like Birdperson and Squanchy, Rick has rarely shown any affection or love for any creature other than himself. In fact, he seems to actively hate and disdain other life forms he deems not worthy of his time.

Unity, though, was something different. Many years before the start of the show, Rick had dated Unity, and when they ran into each other again after he returned home they reignited their spark. Rick was ready to give up his entire family for Unity.

The character is a Hivemind and assimilated an entire planet into her own consciousness, making her one of the most unique characters the show has ever had. She ultimately decided that she couldn't stay with Rick after he abandoned his grandchildren for her, and went off into space to potentially assimilate millions of other beings.

Unity was also the reason for one of the saddest, darkest moments in the history of the show. After being left by her, Rick tries to kill himself and it's only because he passed out drunk before he could finish the job that he is still alive. It takes a truly special character to affect the usually emotionless Rick in such a heartbreaking way.
