5. Brienne's Renly Story
Lady Brienne is a badass warrior who’s come a long way since her introduction in season two, and has encountered a lot of the key players during the series. She gained a faithful sidekick in Podrick during the fourth season, and the two formed an unlikely buddy duo throughout her adventures.
She later opened up to him about her feelings for Renly Baratheon, telling the story of how her father held a ball for her and invited all the young Lords. For awhile they were all over her, pushing each other for a chance to dance with her until they started snickering and admitted they were just playing with her. Renly swooped in and danced with her in front of them, telling her to ignore them and keep a brave face.
Game Of Thrones is great at fleshing out the motivations of its supporting characters, and it was nice to see the stoic warrior shed some light on her devotion to someone who could never love her back.
