13 Doctor Who Guest Stars Who Were Tragically Underused

8. Felicity Jones

Felicity Jones made a brief appearance in 2008's The Unicorn and the Wasp but you can be forgiven for not even remembering that she was in the episode at all. She was tragically underused in her role as Robina Redmond - one of the suspects in the Agatha Christie inspired murder mystery - but her latest performance in The Theory of Everything is finally gaining her the recognition she deserves. Fondly remembered for playing school bully Ethel Hallow in The Worst Witch, her most recent portrayal of Jane Hawking in the critically acclaimed Stephen Hawking biopic has already landed her respective nominations at the Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild awards and it looks like a nod at the prestigious Oscars will soon be following suit, too. With prominent roles in films such as Autobahn and A Monster Calls on the way, she looks set to be a busy lady for the foreseeable so it's unlikely she'd have the time to return to Doctor Who for another guest stint. At least fans will alway be able to say they knew her when.
