20 Best Superhero TV Show Performances Ever
19. Robert Sheehan As Klaus Hargreeves
Based on the comic book series of the same name, the Umbrella Academy was an absolute hit on Netflix, and while there are so many factors to consider, the characters themselves may well be the most important. Brought to life by Irish actor Robert Sheehan, Klaus Hargreeves is certainly the most entertaining member of the academy.
Number Four starts the story as a junkie with no respect for his siblings, and no intention of doing anything other than pawning his dead dad's things as a way to get high. In other words, pure comic relief.
As the series goes on however, Sheehan is able to add more and more layers into his character and his performance. After coming back from a year serving in the war and losing someone very close to him, Klaus is much more depressed and intense, yet still able to hold the comedy value that made him so loved in the first place.
Clearly, Sheehan's time as Nathan in Misfits held him in good stead to play another jokester with powers, only this time, he is able to delve much deeper into Klaus as a character.
