Doctor Who: 10 Best Episodes To Get You Into The Classic Series
4. Genesis Of The Daleks
Genesis of the Daleks is another amazing story that almost everyone has heard of. The first appearance of Davros and the origin story for the Daleks is outstanding, albeit a little cumbersome around the middle parts.
Tom Baker gives his best performance, and delivers one of the most famous speeches in the show’s history, and being introduced to the eternally unhinged Davros is a delight. The Daleks are incredibly scary in this story, and it re-establishes them as a threat to the universe that even the Time Lords are scared of.
Even if you aren’t a fan of the Daleks, this episode is still a thrilling watch, as it side-lines them and focuses more on Davros/Doctor relationship and the ideology of the Daleks. This is a great point to jump into Classic Who as it's more intelligent and mature than most adult shows, let alone one for kids.
