8. Moon Knight

Of all the many lesser-known Marvel comic heroes out there, Moon Knight is one of those fans are clamouring to see on-screen the most. In fact, rumours recently emerged that Marvel might already be developing a Netflix series starring the character, but as that is yet to be confirmed he still gets a place on this list. Often seen as Marvel's answer to Batman, Moon Knight is actually more interesting than that - when former US Marine and mercenary Marc Spector is killed, he is resurrected by the Egyptian god Khonshu and granted superhuman strength which increases with the fullness of the moon. Moon Knight would be a brilliant addition to the MCU as he would bring a hitherto unexplored element of the supernatural. The films will introduce the idea of mysticism with Doctor Strange next year, so a Moon Knight series could be another occult-flavoured offering.
