The Simpsons: 8 Episodes We Never Got To See

3. The Prince Episode

Simpsons Homer Marge Bart Lisa

Unofficially titled "The Prince Episode," this early season could-have-been was originally imagined as a sequel to the infamous Michael Jackson-centred "Stark Raving Dad."

The episode would have seen Leon Komposwsky return to Springfield, only this time he believes he's Prince, not Michael Jackson. Whilst in town, he gets everyone to loosen up, try new things, and cut loose sexually, leading - one assumes - to some top-tier ensemble comedy from the town's easily manipulated residents.

The original script was written by Conan O'Brien, and when it was sent to the actual Prince for proof reading, the late singer hated it and the way Leon's impression of him had been written.

Prince sent the script back with numerous notes, many of which were said to be focussed on the clothes Leon was wearing, and basically demanded the writers to make another script. As a result, the whole thing was dropped and Prince never came to Springfield. Cue the tears.
