50 Absolute Worst Things WWE Has Done In The 21st Century
40. Ucey Hot Burns The Revival (2019)
Contrast and compare how Triple H is working overtime to get Jimmy and Royal Rumble winner Jey Uso over as singles attractions in 2025 to how his father-in-law thought they should be acting as a team in 2019. Oh yes, you knew it was only a matter of time before the year of our lord two thousand and nineteen entered the chat. It was a 12-month cavalcade of creative calamities.
Remember "Ucey Hot"? That was part of The Usos' twin attack on The Revival. Jimmy and Jey laughed at the future FTR shaving one another's backs, and both schemed like they were auditioning to be the next Kevin McCallister in some Home Alone reboot produced by WWE's film studios. It was all rather childish, but childish isn't a problem so long as the content is entertaining and leads to something worthwhile.
That's the thing: Matches between The Usos and The Revival were always going to be good. It was everything in between them that sucked. "Ucey Hot" was a play on words for Icy Hot, a cream that soothes inflammation before warming muscles to deliver pain relief. Jimmy and Jey had their own version, which did anything but soothe. It made The Revival leap around like they had ants in their pants.
This chaos clashed with the serious presentation of hard-fought matches between both teams. The Revival were old school traditionalists, and The Usos were willing to meet that halfway once the bell sounded. McMahon and creative wrecked this plan by booking silly skits in between each bout, which was unnecessary. That's putting it mildly.
There was nothing mild about Ucey H...you get the point.
