6 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE SmackDown (June 16)

1. The Usos Are Out!

Creative teased that Jey Uso would fall in line behind Roman Reigns all over again, but he and Jimmy blasted their now-former 'Tribal Chief' with superkicks and officially left The Bloodline as SmackDown went off-air. That's a pretty colossal story beat to add some weight of history to this week's show.

It was awesome.

WWE deserves all the credit in the world for handling this narrative arc like they have. The fact it still has so much juice to it after this length of time is nothing short of astonishing. Pro wrestling stories aren't supposed to click for this long in the modern era. It should be borderline impossible, but it isn't.

The whole closing segment was a winner from beginning to end. Roman and Paul Heyman thought they'd convinced Jey to ditch Jimmy, then The Usos went babyface by caving their cousin's skull in. Fantastic television, and wrestling's most well-written rollercoaster ride rolls on.
