10 Barcelona Signings Who Completely Flopped At The Nou Camp
6. Giovanni
There won't be many players who can tell the story of their career going from Barcelona to Hull City, but Brazilian midfielder Giovanni is one man who can.
The midfielder was snapped up by Barcelona as they looked to continue their forray into the South American market back in 2001, with the club hoping Giovanni would go on to enjoy the same kind of success greats like Rivaldo and Ronaldo enjoyed.
Only one goal in his first season at the Nou Camp hardly showed his true quality, while he was loaned out during his second season, joining Benfica.
That move to Benfica did reignite his career somewhat as he became a regular, before fans in England got a glimpse of his talents during his spells with both Man City and Hull.
Giovanni retired in 2013, and while his career wasn't a disaster, his time with Barcelona is better left firmly in the footballing archives.
