Following our first relegation in 2003, many top players requested transfers, forcing a complete team rebuild in the Championship. We received Bobby Zamora from Tottenham as part of a deal that saw Jermain Defoe inevitably head in the other direction, and he became a prolific Championship striker. Scoring in both his home and away débuts, Zamora's presence up front was a vital part to our promotion the following year.
