4. Cesar Azpilicueta, Chelsea (Games Played 20, Goals 0, Assists 4)
The 23 year old Spaniard is a personal favourite of mine and he has been excellent in his first season at Chelsea since signing from Marseille in the summer. His 4 assists so far in the campaign show his attacking tendency and Chelsea themselves look far more dangerous in the wide area with Azpilicueta patrolling the right side of the pitch. His defensive decision making can still let the youngster down in matches, but he has arguably been a ray of sunshine in a somewhat dreary season for Chelsea fans that has again been full of controversy. Dave (as he is apparently known by his Chelsea team mates because they have given up trying to pronounce his surname) can expect to be in the Chelsea first team line up for some time yet. Ivanovic looks far more comfortable in the centre of defence with one of either Cahill, Terry and Luiz partnering him. Having not started his first 7 matches, he has now played in 18 of the last 20 and few can see this changing for the very important run in for fourth place. This young Spanish right back can expect more of the same for a few season to come.
