Back in 2008 Robinho had just rejected a contract from Real Madrid. Touted as one of the best players in the world this sparked rumours that Chelsea were set to the sign the Brazilian wonderkid. However much to everyone€™s surprise it was Manchester City who managed to capture the much coveted signature. The transfer happened on the same day that were took over by billionaires The Abu Dhabi United Group and was a clear statement of intent from the Manchester club. A clear signal of things to come, Robinho didn€™t have quite the impact many had anticipated but as we all know this was just the beginning of the City revolution.
