It's not that John Terry isn't a good player - he quite obvious is and, in his prime, he was absolutely fantastic - but the fact is he plays for Chelsea. Not only are they a better team than Spurs and can pay far more in wages than the Lilywhites can, they also happen to be a major London rival of Spurs, so the speculation linking Terry to White Hart Lane in 2011 was just odd. The link came because, at thirty years old at the time, Terry was deemed to be past his best and surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge and yet, more than three years later, he is still commanding a place in the Blues' starting eleven - this further emphasises the ridiculous nature of the link to Spurs at the time. Simpy put; John Terry never would and never will sign for Spurs.
