10 Boyhood Everton Fans The Club Should Have Signed

9. Jonathan Walters

Jonathan Walters is one of the most under-rated players in the Premier League. The Stoke City forward is preparing for his seventh consecutive season in the top-flight with the Potters and despite a modest goalscoring record - 58 in 247 appearances - will be looking to force his way back into Mark Hughes’ starting XI. An almost ever-present in the Stoke sides of years gone by, missing just 25 league games in the last six years, Walters truly is Mr. Reliable.

Consistency and dependability are facets of the Ireland international’s makeup and it’s actually a surprise that no bigger club has swooped for him during his time at the Britannia Stadium.

Anyhow, Walters has never been shy about professing his love for Everton, hailing from a family of Blues and claiming that he relishes whenever he scores against Liverpool.
