10 Candidates For The PFA Young Player Of The Year Award
7. Oscar
Affectionately nicknamed "Bosscar" by the Chelsea fans, Oscar's second season in the Premier League has been a very successful one. Although he did show flashes of brilliance in his first season, Oscar failed to produce a level of consistency in his first season at Chelsea and both Benitez and Di Matteo did not rely on the Brazilian enough to be given a regular place in the team. With the appointment of Mourinho, Oscar has been installed as a vital part of the Chelsea attack and has flourished in the number 10 role given to him, scoring nine goals in 24 games. Verdict Oscar has become less influential in the Chelsea team as Mourinho has started to favour a more defensive approach and attention has now switched to Eden Hazard, meaning that Oscar will probably be overlooked when considering candidates for this award
