10 Candidates For The PFA Young Player Of The Year Award

6. Jordan Henderson

One of the many talented English youngsters at Liverpool, Jordan Henderson has shown massive improvements in his all round game this season. Seen before by many people as little more than a hard-working midfielder and not the worth the £16 million paid for him, Henderson has proved doubters wrong, consistently producing top quality performances for Liverpool from central midfield. Henderson has been able to showcase his talents and great footballing brain far more effectively this season, and his six assists so far equal his amount from the whole of last season. Already an England international, Henderson is a very strong candidate to be on the plane to Brazil with the rest of the England World Cup squad. Verdict Henderson's consistent performances throughout the season give him an outside chance of winning the award but other candidates and teammates of Henderson have produced more spectacular performances, meaning that they will probably be favoured over their teammate.
