10 Darkest Days In Alan Pardew's Newcastle United Career

1. Newcastle 3-0 Sunderland

Date: 1st February 2014 Like Southampton, once is bad enough, but to lose to the same margin two years in a row is unforgivable, and because it was Sunderland and at home to boot, the second 3-0 was despicable. Though there wasn't the turmoil outside the stadium that had blighted the year before's game, he loss hurt even more. It was orchestrated by both Fabio Borini and worse Jack Colback, who gleefully joined in with the celebrations months before he crossed the Tyne Wear divide. The defeat was life-sapping, but not exactly unexpected, even if Newcastle were still easily in the top half and the saddest part was that anger was quickly replaced by apathy. Which other dark days under Pardew belong on this list? Share your thoughts below in the comments thread.
