10 Embarrassments That Made Newcastle A Laughing Stock

5. The Geordie Dancer

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QnGMIXF7vcQ Having a self-aware comic stab at yourself is a great thing: along with all of the tears and woe that has met Mike Ashley's tenure as owner, there has been just as much gallows humour, and while it hurts to be laughed at by other fans, it doesn't stop the Toon Army occasionally doing the same thing. Unfortunately, there was no hint of irony at all in the Geordie Dancer (David Johnson), who somehow made it onto Soccer AM after being "discovered" showing off his "skills" in City Vaults. Inevitably, looking for a cheap laugh, the Sky show invited him on, and while it was clearly just a bit of fun, it was hard not to see the judgement through the good-natured giggles (which didn't last as long as his 15 minutes of fame). And then to top it all off, when he was forced into a head-to-head with the Mackem Mover, he was roundly shown up by a middle aged man body-popping. And he didn't even look the stupidest part of it.
