10 Football Records That Will Never Be Broken

4. Most Goals By A Goalkeeper

A goalkeeper's job is to defend their own goal not pose a threat in the opposition's box, right? Try telling that to Brazilian shot-stopper Rogerio Ceni!

The former Sao Paolo 'keeper scored a very impressive 131 goals during his career. While Brazilians are known for their flair, any mention of a South American free-kick taker has Roberto Carlos' name at the tip of the tongue. Ceni however was the real free-kick maestro with each of his strikes coming from a dead-ball situation. Talk about tekkers!

His career, which spanned over two decades and 1200 games, saw Ceni represent his nation on 16 occasions, as well as being part of two World Cup squads.

Needless to say, his goal-scoring attributes are unlikely to ever be overtaken, with Paraguay's Jose Luis Chilavert the closest to his record with a paltry 67 goals as a number one.
