10 Footballers Who Really Didn't Deserve Winners Medals

10. Darren Ferguson

Pretty much the only reason Darren Ferguson ever became a Manchester United player was because his dad was the manager. If that wasn't the case, the Scot would never have come close to playing for a club of such stature. The current Peterborough United manager was a part of United's squad in 1992/93 - the first ever Premier League season - as they romped to a first league title in over 20 years. Ferguson appeared just 15 times in the league, having filled in for injured regulars, and he failed to score once from midfield. He didn't make any appearances after November of that season, yet he had gained enough playing time to earn a winners medal. When you think of that brilliant team the names of Peter Schmeichel, Steve Bruce, Gary Pallister, Paul Ince, Ryan Giggs and Eric Cantona roll off the tongue, but most people wouldn't even have known Ferguson was part of that side. He has a Premier League title to his name, and frankly it's completely undeserved.
