Can lightning strike twice for Barcelona? The similarities between Luis Enrique and Pep Guardiola will certainly be compared over the coming seasons but is Enrique capable of achieving the success of his former team-mate? The answer is no. While nothing in football is impossible, the chances of Enrique matching the achievements of Guardiola are near impossible. There is just too much stacked against him and to expect Enrique and this squad to reach those standards again would be cruelly unfair. But Enrique doesn't need to match Guardiola. He simply needs to steady the ship, be competitive in the Champions League and win either the La Liga or Copa Del Rey. The only way Enrique can fail is if Barcelona fail to win anything. Luis Enrique has already had an impact on the club with his persuasive powers seemingly proving effective concerning Xavi and Pedro. Word inside the camp is also positive with the players supposedly hungrier than ever to perform for the season ahead. It remains to be seen if Enrique can handle the pressure both on and off the pitch but for now, it's Barcelona's biggest worry.
