Premier League goals: 283. Premier League trophies: 1 (with Blackburn in 1995). Now, obviously Alan Shearer has benefitted greatly from having such a wonderful career at Newcastle United but surely he feels aggrieved by not winning more silverware and playing a lot more Champions League football. Shearer was twice offered the chance of a move to Old Trafford but turned it down on both occasions and although saying that he has no regrets he simply MUST HAVE. Don't get me wrong the England international is an absolute god but would he have had more success if he had moved to Manchester? Is a Newcastle United goalscoring record a good enough achievement for a player of Shearer's quality? Disclaimer. If you're *still* feeling angry about the introduction picture having read my perfectly good explanation please don't attack me on the streets of Newcastle. Chill.
