http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sm3ErTOp0JQ Easily the greatest quarterback ever to not win a Super Bowl, Dan Marino was a truly dominant player. He has previously held or currently holds a remarkable number of quarterback records. Marino possessed a strong pocket presence, rarely scrambling, rarely running. He had a knack for side-stepping would be tacklers, to follow through with the throw. A Miami Dolphin for his entire career, Marino only ever appeared in one Super Bowl, losing to Joe Montana and the San Francisco 49ers. He was the 1983 Rookie of the Year, and won the league MVP the following season. Marino was the first quarterback to ever throw for 40 touchdown passes in a season, a feat he accomplished twice. His league record of 48 touchdowns in a season stood for 20 years before being broken by Peyton Manning (since broken by Tom Brady and Peyton Manning again). He also still holds the record for fastest quarterback to reach 100 and 200 touchdown passes in a career, accomplishing these numbers in 44 games and 89 games. Marino retired with 420 touchdown passes, good for third all time. Marino also held stunning numbers for throwing yards. He was the first of only five quarterbacks to throw for over 5000 yards in a season. His record of 5,084 yards in a season seemed out of reach, lasting 27 years, until Drew Brees topped it in 2011 with a total of 5,476 yards. Marino currently sits third all time with 61,361 career yards.
