First, lets clear up the stoppage controversy - yes, John McCarthy moved in pretty quick. Yes, Henderson protested the stoppage and was already on his way back up. Maybe he could have kept going. Or maybe he gets punched in the face repeatedly while down, doing further damage. When it comes to stoppages, it's fight safety first. McCarthy is the best ref in the business. He's been doing his job since UFC 2. He saw something there in the ring that caused him to stop the fight when he did, and it's easy to second guess him, but the reality is, dos Anjos connected, and Henderson went down. He is human. He lost, in a non-title fight. Now we're going to see how Henderson responds to his first non-title loss in the UFC, and his first loss to anyone other than Anthony Pettis in years.
