10 Liverpool Players Who Should Fear For Their Future

10. Rickie Lambert

''I can۪t believe it. I۪ve loved this club all my life. I left here 17 years ago and I haven۪t stopped loving it since. I have always dreamt of playing for Liverpool, but I did kind of think the chance of playing for them had gone. I didn۪t think the chance would come. My mum and dad shed a few tears when I told them, my mum in particular.۪۪ - Rickie Lambert, May 2014.
It was supposed to be the fairytale ending for the Scouse-born 32 year old striker. Having been released from his boyhood club as a youngster, he subsequently spent the majority of his career earning his badges in the lower leagues, before finally reaching the Premier League with Southampton and earning his €˜dream move€™ home. However, putting sentiment aside to one minute, Rickie Lambert€™s move has been a failure. Were it not for £16 million striker Mario Balotelli€™s high-profile troubles in front of goal, perhaps the former Bristol Rovers forward would be receiving more criticism, but it is almost mid-November and he has yet to score in 12 first-team appearances for the club. While he has only started one league match, he has still been granted a total of 343 minutes so far for the club in which to find the back of the net, and has so far failed to deliver. Having only signed a two-year deal at the club, one wouldn€™t be surprised to see Liverpool cash in on the profligate centre-forward they shelled out £4 million on.
