£30 million club record signing Erik Lamela has undoubtedly started this season a lot better than he performed in the last one. After a positive pre-season in which he scored a couple of goals, looked happy and was interacting positively with fans and fellow players, he has bagged several assists, been on several positive runs with the ball and even found the net a couple of times in Europe - including the much-publicised and undeniably spectacular rabona against Asteras Tripolis of Greece last week. However, his hold-up play is terrible and he gets knocked off the ball far too easily which, in defensive areas, has cost Spurs more than once. As a result, he needs to toughen up and bulk up a bit. He was touted as Spurs' replacement for Gareth Bale and it wouldn't do him any harm to emulate the Welshman's muscle-gain since he moved to Real Madrid. He'd be a much better all-round player if he was a bit stronger. So there you have it - ten things individual Spurs players need to improve. Did you enjoy this article?
