10 Most Awkward Football Reunions Ever

10. Cameron Jerome vs Tony Pulis

Cameron Jerome had grown frustrated by his lack of chances at the Britannia Stadium, making just 15 league starts and often being overlooked by boss Tony Pulis. Instead of having a look at himself in the mirror, Jerome decided to perform a little jig on the Welshman€™s managerial tombstone, having been replaced by compatriot Mark Hughes at the end of the season.
''There۪s no guarantees but before in the old regime, there was a guaranteed XI who played. No matter what happened, how you trained or if you came on and did well in the games you were involved in, you were still never going to start. I think a few of the lads who didn۪t play as much under the old regime won۪t be disheartened by the fact a new manager۪s come in with a new method and a new way of thinking.۪۪ - Cameron Jerome, July 2013.
Two months later, he was loaned out to Crystal Palace for the season, and two months after that, his old boss joined him for an awkward reunion. Initially, he mustn€™t have believed his own bad luck, but after clear-the-air talks, Jerome maintains that any footballer would have expressed similar thoughts.
''Like any footballer, when you۪re not playing games, you get frustrated. I said I۪d like to have played more games under Tony۪s management, and I won۪t be the last player to ever say that. I۪ve put that one to bed and I۪ll move on. Me and Tony have no problem whatsoever.۪۪ - Cameron Jerome, December 2013.
