10 Most Brutal Motocross Crashes Of All Time

5. David Pingree At The Phoenix Supercross, 2002

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j96Gcd4iLHo It is not normal for a bike to snap in half. It is not supposed to happen. For something as drastic as this to happen to a machine, it must be an incredible impact! David Pingree took his KTM to the limit in Phoenix, 2002, when he came up short on the triple. He claims that the KTM factory pistons were to blame, as his bike malfunctioned on the face of the jump, causing it to nosedive and come up short. The result is one of the most cringe inducing crashes in history. Pingree in thrown to the ground face first as he tried to ride out of the issue. Miraculously, he was able to walk away with only minor injuries!
