10 Most Disappointing Premier League Players Of 2014/15 (So Far)
7. Romelu Lukaku
Barkley's teammate Lukaku is another who has failed to hit the heights of last season, and he is even more culpable than his English teammate for Everton's slump towards the relegation zone in 2014/15. The 21-year-old averaged very nearly a goal every other game last season, combining pace, power and finishing to great effect, but this time around he has not looked the same player. Confidence is probably the key to any footballers form, and the Belgian has shown a definite lack of it all season long. Perhaps losing his place in the Belgium side to Divock Origi at the World Cup rocked him a little, because he hasn't been right since then. Lukaku's touch looks heavy, his decision-making has been unpredictable and, most notably, he has only scored six Premier League goals in his 21 appearances so far this season. The Toffees badly need their star striker to star firing again, especially if they are to avoid getting themselves into a potentially ugly relegation scrap.
