10 Most Ferocious Boxing Rivalries

2. Dereck Chisora vs. David Haye

Of all the fights on this list, this is probably the worst in terms of technique and boxing quality, but the rivalry between David Haye and Dereck Chisora was so ferocious that it simply couldn't be ignored. It all started with some back-and-forth banter between the two English boxers, the sort usually used between boxers who could potentially fight each other. However, their verbal-jousting quickly turned into madness when Hayes smashed a bottle over Chisora's head during the post-fight press conference of his loss to Vitali Klitschko. The skirmish caused an uproar among fans, with many stating they believed both men should be banned from competing, while others were desperate to see them settle their differences inside the ring. After much negotiating, the two finally squared off inside at Upton Park on July 2012. While the fight didn't quite live up to the loft expectations set during the build-up, Haye did produce an outstanding knockout that left Chisora seeing stars. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tShBLAqJ58w
