10 Most Jaw-Dropping UFC Knockouts No One Saw Coming

1. Chris Weidman vs Anderson Silva

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wYafD1rWf0 The complete mixed martial artist, the UFC record holder for the longest title reign, undoubtedly the most dynamic striker to ever step foot in the octagon, and in the eyes of many, the best fighter to have ever lived. Anderson 'The Spider' Silva stood head and shoulders above the competition for eight incredible years. But all the while, one man hungrier than the rest kept his eye firmly on the UFC gold, that one man being The All-American Chris Weidman. After impressing in the Ring of Combat, Weidman agreed a deal with the UFC, and he joined the long list of contenders aiming for the target on The Spider's back. With just 9 professional MMA fights under his belt, compared to Silva's 37, Weidman was thrown into the lions den after he stopped fellow middleweight contender Mark Munoz. Leading up to his title challenge, analysts drew comparisons to Anderson's first fight with Chael Sonnen, suggesting that Weidman would need to expose Silva's wrestling ability, like Sonnen did so. When UFC 162 eventually rolled around, the numbers showed up to see The Spider do his thing but they were in for a shock, Weidman utilised his superior grappling in the first round before he caught Anderson attempting his usual mind games in the second, but Chris wasn't in the cage to play around. Weidman unloaded a textbook left hook on Silva and the crowd erupted in jubilation for the new UFC middleweight champion as referee Herb Dean stopped the action. It was without a doubt the most jaw-dropping knockout that indeed, nobody saw coming. That does it for our list, we hope you enjoyed it, and if there were any additions you think we missed please leave a comment!
