10 Most Legendary Old Firm European Nights

10. Rangers 1-1 Inter Milan (December 2005)

The Blues had a clear game plan against the Italian giants, and it amounted only to pace: Thomas Buffel and Peter Lovenkrands led the line on a cold windy night, and Inter Milan simply could not cope with them. Adriano gave Inter the lead against the run of play, but Rangers were playing well enough to absorb the set back and it didn€™t take long for Lovenkrands to equalise after being put through by Buffel. Cristiano Zanetti was sent off with 5 minutes to go, with Rangers huffing and puffing but failing to blow the house down. The performance, though, came after a barren run in Europe for the Gers, and became the template for how they would approach European games in the future.
