9. Calf Slicer
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IA6QsMaKihk Rarely seen in the UFC as it is extremely difficult to lock in and maintain, when a calf slicer is successful, the body is flooded by an overload of uncompromising trauma. A dense compression lock, the fighter engaging will use his or her shin as a fulcrum - supporting the motion like a lever. The performer will then press their calf deep into the bone of the trapped leg, causing an explosion of red-hot bitterness as the muscle compresses. A particularly nasty calf slicer featured way back at UFC on Fox 2 in which Charles Oliveria forced challenger Eric Wisely to tap almost instantaneously. The momentum shifted and the opportunity presented itself, so the BJJ expert countered. The stress upon Wisely's face is a gruelling image that hangs in the memory. He might have only been caught for a few seconds, but it is likely that he would have had difficulty moving for days after the fight.
