If it were not for the most fruitful period Formula One has ever seen, Ferrari would not be as far ahead as they are.

Between 1999 and 2004, Ferrari won six constructors' titles and took 63 race wins, thanks to the ultimate dream team of Jean Todt, Ross Brawn, and Michael Schumacher. Ferrari's dominance in this period shoots them well ahead of their rivals.

The only team to have raced in every season of Formula One, Ferrari was always known as a streaky team, designing great cars one season, then dropping off the next. Before 1999, the team had last won the Constructors' in 1983 and the driver's in 1979.

The 1970s saw their other great title run, winning the constructors' in '75, '76, '77 and '79, thanks to Nikki Lauda and Jody Scheckter. The '80s and '90s were comparatively lean. Still gaining race wins and two Constructors' Championships in '82 and '83, the team seemingly failed to challenge until Michael Schumacher joined in 1996.

Since the German retired in 2006, the team has won the Constructors' twice more, once in 2007, on a technicality when McLaren were thrown out, and again in 2008. Since then it seemed Ferrari had gone back to their inconsistent ways. But in 2017 they have started very competetivley, so there is a possibility that they could be stretching their lead at the top even further.

Championships: 16

Wins: 227
