10 NFL Rookies Who Could Set The League On Fire
1. Leonard Fournette
Leonard Fournette was destined to be an NFL player before he ever stepped onto the field for Louisiana State. He's the running back prospect coaches dream about; he's drawn legitimate, straight faced comparisons to Adrian Peterson. The Jacksonville Jaguars are lucky enough to be the team that Fournette calls home and they're hoping he can be the spark on offense they've been looking for for damn near two decades.
Fournette and the Jaguars are in a mutually beneficial relationship. Fournette is the team's undisputed starter at running back, blowing by the competition of Chris Ivory and T.J. Yeldon, and the Jaguars get an offensive cornerstone who can draw pressure away from Blake Bortles and, hopefully, be a consistent source of yards and touchdowns. Best case scenario, Bortles can teeter out of train wreck territory with the help of a superstar back and the Jaguars can finally cash in on some of the enormous potential they have on the field. Worst case scenario, Fournette kicks ass on a team incapable of pulling itself together and the team eventually cuts bait on Bortles.
Whatever happens, it's almost inconceivable that Fournette, with all his transcendental talent, won't make his mark in the league right away.
