10 NFL Rookies Who Could Set The League On Fire
2. Corey Davis
As Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota attempts to establish himself in the upper echelon of NFL signal callers, he's going to need a star receiver to fall back on when times are tough. Enter Corey Davis. The Titans drafted Davis 5th overall with the expectation that he would be the final piece to make an already formidable offense Super Bowl caliber.
Davis immediately adds a dimension of play making that the Titans sorely lack. As the all-time leader in receiving yards in NCAA Division I history, Davis flat out knows how to move the ball down the field. He's a big target with a big catch radius and he gives Mariota a premiere weapon. The team has several talented skill position players, including tight end Delanie Walker, running back DeMarco Murray, and receiver Rishard Matthews, for Mariota to rely on, but now with Davis, he has a Mike Evan or Amari Cooper-type receiver that he can rely on to make big plays at the most important times.
The Titans are a rising team in the NFL and with Mariota under center, one of the league's best o-lines, and a fierce defense, Corey Davis may be the key that launches them as contenders.
