10 NFL Rookies Who Could Set The League On Fire

6. Jabrill Peppers

Hyperbole and sports go hand-in-hand and few athletes in recent years have had as much hyperbole attached to them as Jabrill Peppers. Some people see him as the next Charles Woodson, whereas others see him as a mediocre player who has become the product of a completely meaningless hype train. As with most things, Peppers actual status lies somewhere in the middle, but his potential is very real.

Peppers is one of the most versatile players the NFL has seen in a long time. At the moment, the Cleveland Browns will be playing him at safety, the position he spent the most time at in college. He isn't much a ball hawk, but he makes up for it with extraterrestrial athleticism and solid coverage skills up the middle. However, they could also experiment with him as an undersized linebacker or a slot corner. He could even have a hand in the offense, the same way J.J. Watt did in 2014, albeit as a running back or slot receiver instead of a tight end.

As long as Peppers doesn't get ruined by the Browns institutional chaos, the Cleveland team could have an incredibly unique, young cornerstone on their hands.

Virgil Atkinson hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
