10 Players Who Didn't Fulfil Their Potential At Man Utd
9. Paul Pogba
French international Paul Pogba finds his way onto the list through no fault of his own - there's no doubt he'd have gone on to better things in red had he been given his first team opportunity. Pogba left United for Juventus on a free transfer in 2012, after becoming increasingly irritated with Alex Ferguson's decisions not to play him. The 21-year-old was brought in to United under controversial circumstances in 2009, surrounded by accusations that United had 'tapped up' the player during his days with French side Le Havre. Once the rumours, cleared, Pogba went on to flourish in the United youth team. He felt his time had come for his senior chance, but his stay at United ended up rather short lived. He recalls knowing the time to leave had come when Ferguson selected full back Rafael in central midfield in a league game over him for a game with Blackburn. United lost 3-2, but his mind was made up. Despite being tipped for a successful career at Old Trafford, Pogba agreed a deal with Juventus and left on bad terms. He looks back on his time in Manchester with bitterness, and United should really be kicking themselves now that they let someone of such quality leave for next to nothing.
