Gabriel Obertan may be regretting his decision to cross the channel following his five underwhelming seasons in England. In 2009, the France born winger left Bordeaux and joined Manchester United, but failed to crack into the Red Devil's first-team set-up and made just 14 appearances during a forgettable two-year stay. Obertan had not yet established himself in France when he moved to Old Trafford, having opnly scored three goals for Bordeaux, and such a big career move probably came too soon because it hasn't payed off. After failing to leave his mark on United, he was sold to Newcastle in 2011, where he has similarly flattered to deceive. The Frenchman has scored just the one goal for the Magpies, showing that his time at United wasn't just a blip, and the midfielder probably regrets not staying in France after failing to make the grade in the UK.
