10 Footballers Too Good For Their Current Clubs

3. Charlie Austin - QPR

After years of slowly climbing the ladder, Charlie Austin finally got his shot at Premier League football in 2014/15. And boy did he take it! A return of 18 goals from 35 appearances is nothing short of incredible, especially when you consider he was playing for the worst team in the division. His goals might not have saved the Hoops from relegation, but it did earn him a call-up to the England squad and there is absolutely no doubt that he should be playing at the top level. As it stands, Austin is still at the books of QPR as the Londoners hold firm in hope of securing the best sale price. However, it seems that a Loftus Road departure is imminent. Will his next destination by St James€™ Park? He€™d certainly have the backing of the Geordie nation. Whatever happens, he€™s got to leave QPR this season. It would be scandalous to see one of England€™s most talented strikers forced to play Championship football once more.
