10 Players Who Should Regret Turning Down Arsenal

9. Kasper Schmeichel

Kasper Schmeichel turned down the chance to join Arsenal this summer, opting instead to sign a four-year deal with Leicester City. The Danish goalkeeper is the heir of legendary stopper Peter Schmeichel and was out of contract after helping his side to the Premier League. Having won promotion, Leicester used their new financial power to offer a new contract for the former Man City youngster and Kasper will at least get to test himself against England's elite. It€™s thought that the Gunners are still looking to bring in someone who will give current No.1 Wojciech Szczesny real competition for his spot with Lukasz Fabianski and Emmanuel Viviano both having left north London already. The 27-year-old could have forced himself into the first team at Arsenal this year and maybe gone on to compete for honours in Europe's elite competition, following in the footsteps of his illustrious father. But then, fortunately for Arsenal, Szczesny is very good goalkeeper when he€™s on form.
